McEachern High School forward Babatunde Akingbola received an offer to join Georgia Tech’s 2018 signing class on Thursday, according to Akingbola’s Twitter page.

Akingbola was visited by Tech basketball coach Josh Pastner on Thursday, according to Akingbola's Twitter page. Akingbola posted about the offer on Friday on his Twitter page, writing he was "Blessed to receive an offer from Georgia Tech" and from Pastner.

The 6-foot-8, 220 pound sophomore from Powder Springs, Ga. has an offer from Rutgers in addition to his 2018 offer from Tech.

Akingbola is listed as sixth on 247 Sports list of top 2018 recruits in Georgia.
