Now that Alabama's defensive coordinator Kirby Smart has been tabbed as Georgia's next football coach, begins speculation as to who will be on staff in Athens. Given his Georgia background and familiarity with the school, here's a look at what the Bulldogs' staff could look like:

Offensive coordinator: Tyson Helton. Helton has become a popular name after Western Kentucky's offense ranked 10th nationally in just his second year with the Hilltoppers. How does Smart know Helton? Helton was at UAB as an assistant coach from 2007-12. (DawgNation)

Running backs coach: Thomas Brown. Brown is in his first year as Georgia's running backs coach. How does Kirby Smart know Brown? When Smart coached running backs as a Georgia assistant coach in 2005, Brown was one of his tailbacks. (DawgNation)

Wide receivers coach: Bryan McClendon. McClendon, currently Georgia’s receivers coach and recruiting coordinator, has emerged as one of the nation’s top recruiters. That doesn’t automatically mean he will be retained, but there will be pressure on Kirby Smart to do so. How does Smart know McClendon? McClendon was on the team in 2005 when Smart was an assistant. Strength and conditioning coordinator: Scott Cochran. Cochran's former associate coordinator Mark Hocke is in his first year at Georgia. His future is uncertain.
