  • St. John's is coming off its first loss of the season, 80-71 at Duke on Saturday.
  • Justin Burrell, a 6-foot-8 post player for St. John's, sustained a high ankle sprain against the Blue Devils and will miss at least three weeks.
  • Trey Thompkins, Georgia's top scorer, failed to score a field goal in the loss Sunday at Virginia Tech.
  • The game is part of the SEC-Big East Challenge. Georgia hasn't played St. John's since the 1983 NCAA East Regional.
