The newest Georgia Bulldogs were assigned jersey numbers this week. Among the notables, Mecole Hardman will wear the No. 4 previously worn by luminaries such as Champ Bailey and Keith Marshall.
The early enrollees were given their numbers before spring practice. Those included Julian Rochester (5), Jacob Eason (10) and Isaac Nauta (18). Riley Ridley wore No. 86 in spring practice, but Saturday afternoon his jersey number changed from 86 to No. 8.
Also, two other players’ numbers were changed on the UGA website roster sometime early Saturday afternoon. Tyler Simmons switched from No. 87 to No. 3 and Jaleel Laguins from 32 to 25.
Here are the freshmen jersey numbers, plus graduate transfer Tyler Catalina and junior-college transfer Javon Wims.
