Georgia State’s men’s golf team was honored by the NCAA on Wednesday for having one of the highest Academic Progress Rate scores in Division I.

The Panthers scored 1,000, placing them in the top-10 percent of all teams. It is the seventh consecutive period the team’s score has improved.

The APR gives a real-time look at a team’s academic success each semester by tracking the progress of all student-athletes on scholarship. Factors include eligibility, retention and graduation. It provides a measure of academic performance for each individual team.

The Panthers, champions of the Sun Belt, will participate in an NCAA regional in San Antonio on Monday.
