Former Georgia coach Mark Richt tweeted Monday morning that he had suffered a heart attack.

Richt — who is 59 — explained in his tweet that he thought he would die, but he will be at work this week. Richt, fired at Georgia in 2015, coached at Miami until 2018. He now works as a broadcaster for the ACC Network.

Richt tweeted: “I wanted to be able to inform everyone that I did have a heart attack this morning. I am doing fine. As I went through the experience I had peace knowing I was going to heaven but I was going to miss my wife. I plan to be at work this week.”
