An announcement Saturday night from Georgia football coach Mark Richt will have Georgia fans breathing a little easier when it comes to next season. Jordan Jenkins, Leonard Floyd, John Theus and Malcolm Mitchell will all return next year for their senior season.

The announcement was made during the Bulldogs’ annual Gala at the Classic Center in Athens. Mitchell received the Comeback Player of the Year award and Floyd was named the defense’s Most Valuable Player during the team Gala, as reported by Logan Booker of Bulldawg Illustrated.

Floyd, a draft-eligible outside linebacker, led the team in sacks this year with six and recorded 55 total tackles in 12 games. ESPN’s Todd McShay listed Floyd as the 10th overall pick on his 2015 mock draft board. Fellow outside linebacker Jenkins recorded 4.5 sacks and 66 tackles.

After tearing his ACL in the 2013 opener and subsequently missing the entirety of that season, Mitchell returned this season against Vanderbilt on Oct. 4. He caught 28 passes for 229 yards and three touchdowns over eight games. Theus started all 12 games at left tackle for Georgia.

No official announcement was made regarding tailback Todd Gurley’s plans for next season. He’s expected to declare for the NFL draft and must do so by Jan. 15. A source close to Gurley says he has already picked a training facility to prepare for the combine.

Floyd, Jenkins, Mitchell, Theus and the rest of the Bulldogs will cap off the 2014 season in Charlotte, N.C., when they play Louisville in the Belk Bowl on Dec. 30.
