With a 73-57 road victory against Lipscomb on Thursday night, Kennesaw State clinched the fifth seed in the Atlantic Sun men’s basketball tournament, which begins Tuesday.

The Owls will travel to play Florida Gulf Coast at 7:05 p.m. Tuesday. The game will be streamed live on ESPN3.

The Owls and the Eagles met twice in the regular season, with Florida Gulf Coast winning both games. Each was a five-point victory for the Eagles. The first game was 79-74 in Kennesaw on Jan. 21, and the second was 68-63 in Fort Myers on Feb. 20.

Kendrick Ray led the Owls (11-19, 7-7) in scoring and rebounding Thursday night, recording his fourth double-double of the season. He had 26 points and 10 rebounds.

Ray reached 20 points for the 15th time this season, including in four of the past five games. He averaged 23.2 points per game in those five and is averaging a team-high 18.9 this season.

The other quarterfinals games Tuesday feature No. 8-seed South Carolina-Upstate at No.-1 seed North Florida, No. 7-seed Stetson at No. 2-seed New Jersey Tech and No. 6-seed Lipscomb at No. 3-seed Jacksonville.

If the Owls win Tuesday, they would play Thursday either at North Florida or at home against South Carolina-Upstate.
