After missing five starters on Sept. 10 against Point, most of the Owls’ starters should be back on the field on Saturday against Duquesne.

Linebacker Dez Billingslea was struggling with a foot injury in preseason and again after the Owls’ 20-17 loss against ETSU.

With a rigorous treatment schedule over the bye and during the Point game, Billingslea is back, fully participating in practice.

“My foot is a lot better. The rest helped,” Billingslea said. “I’ve just been getting myself back in shape and just been getting ready for game time.”

Along with Billingslea, Bohannon is confident that running back Jake McKenzie, running back Myles White and defensive lineman Auzoyah Alufohai should all be healthy enough to play on Saturday.

Quarterback Trey White is still rehabbing an adductor injury and will not play on Saturday.

Although several important starters returning, linebacker and special teams contributor Mason Fazikas will be out the remainder of the season after sustaining an ACL injury on Monday. Fazikas is a sophomore from Acworth.
