Kennesaw State suspended all athletic competition indefinitely Thursday, effective immediately, the school announced.

In a news release, a school spokesman cited decisions by the NCAA and the Atlantic Sun Conference to halt play.

“As a university, Kennesaw State is closely following and implementing coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines as prescribed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Georgia Department of Public Health,” the Kennesaw State news release stated. “KSU will continue to monitor and follow the guidance provided by the University System of Georgia, CDC and Georgia Department of Public Health.
