Kennesaw State and Alabama State have agreed to a four-year series in football.

The Owls will host the first game on Sept. 16, 2017, with the teams alternating as hosts for the next three years.

The second game will be played at Alabama State on Sept. 15, 2018. The Owls will host the Hornets on Sept. 14, 2019 and then play at Alabama State on Sept. 29, 2020.

Kennesaw State will play the first game in its program history on Thursday when it visits East Tennessee State.

The Owls play on the FCS level in the Big South Conference. Alabama State is an FCS program that plays in the SWAC.
