Josh Okogie’s all-around game has found an international stage. In the U.S. U19’s second game of pool play at the FIBA U19 World Cup in Cairo, Okogie led the Americans to victory over Angola with a double-double in their 109-68 win over Angola Sunday.

Okogie came off the bench to score a team-high 17 points on 6-for-12 shooting and secure 10 rebounds in 19 minutes. Okogie also was credited with four assists, tied for most on the team, and two steals. Aside from one 3-pointer, Okogie did most of his scoring around the basket.

For Tech this past season, Okogie led the Yellow Jackets in scoring at 16.1 points per game and was third on the team and first among perimeter players with 5.4 rebounds per game.

Okogie, the first active Tech player to make a USA Basketball team since 1995, helped the U.S. to a 108-48 win over Iran in the first game of pool play Saturday. The team’s final pool-play game will be Tuesday against Italy.
