Tennessee senior linebacker A.J. Johnson, who is from Gainesville, made a game-high 17 tackles against Georgia on Saturday.

That puts him fifth on Tennessee’s career tackles list with 370.

Johnson was credited with nine unassisted tackles and eight assisted tackles Saturday.

Another defensive highlight for the Vols was holding Georgia to 1-for-10 on third-down conversions, a statistic that Tennessee coach Butch Jones called “really promising.”
