Georgia Tech quarterback James Graham indicated that he has regained his academic eligibility in a tweet posted Friday from his account.

Graham, a redshirt freshman, had been ineligible since the end of the 2018 fall semester. On Thursday, he spoke optimistically about earning back his eligibility, having completed his summer courses.

“Coming in, I really wasn’t focused on grades,” Graham said. “I was just coming in. I knew I was a good player in football, (but) I wasn’t really sure what I was going to get myself into the first year, and I didn’t do as good as I wanted in the classroom and it shows. But now I’m on the right road and about to show the world what’s up.”

Graham is competing with Lucas Johnson, Tobias Oliver and Jordan Yates for playing time.
