Georgia State running back Taz Bateman will not need surgery on the broken arm he sustained in the first half of last week’s win at New Mexico State. He is expected to miss at least six weeks.
Cornerback Jerome Smith had surgery on his hand on Thursday and is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
Running back Kendrick Dorn is scheduled to have arthroscopic surgery performed on his knee on Friday. The doctors will then be able to determine the extent of the injury and how much time he will miss.
The Panthers will play at Oregon on Saturday.
Bateman, a sophomore, has rushed for 99 yards this season. He also has four receptions for 43 yards and a touchdown. Dorn has yet to play.
Smith, a redshirt freshman, has 11 tackles with three passes broken up.
