Mark Richt is among college football's best paid coaches, a list dominated by SEC and Big XII coaches.

10. Mark Richt, Georgia, $2.81 million: The Bulldogs' head coach since 2001, Richt is a two-time SEC coach of the year and won two SEC titles.

9. Will Muschamp, Florida. $3.22 million: In his first year as the Gators' head coach, Muschamp was one of the highest paid assistants ($900,000) in the country while at Texas.

8. Brady Hoke, Michigan, $3.25 million: Hoke is in his first year of coaching the Wolverines. He was the Mountain West Conference coach of the year last season at San Diego State.

7. Gene Chizik, Auburn, $3.5 million: The Tigers' head coach since 2009, Chizik earned a $1.4 million raise this year for winning the National Championship.

6. Bobby Petrino, Arkansas, $3.63 million: The Razorbacks' head coach since 2008, Petrino led Arkansas to a 10-3 record and an appearance in the Sugar Bowl last season.

5. Kirk Ferentz, Iowa, $3.78 million: The Hawkeyes' head coach since 1999, Ferentz has won two Big Ten titles.

4. Les Miles, LSU, $3.75 million: The Tigers' head coach since 2005, Miles won the SEC and national title in 2007.

3. Bob Stoops, Oklahoma, $4.07 million: The Sooners' head coach since 1999, Stoops has won seven Big XII titles and a national championship.

2. Nick Saban, Alabama, $4.68 million: The Crimson Tide's coach since 2007, Saban has won the national championship and the SEC title in 2009.

1. Mack Brown, Texas, $5.19 million: The Longhorns' head coach since 1998, Brown has won one national title and two Big XII titles.

AND BACK IN THE GAME ... Former Florida coach Urban Meyer was introduced at Ohio State on Nov. 28. He signed a six-year deal that pays him around $4.4 million a year, not counting bonuses and incentives.
