Ryan Harrow won’t start, but will play for Georgia State in tonight’s game against No. 6 Xavier in the third round of the NCAA tournament.

Harrow, a senior who is averaging 18.7 points per game, hasn’t played much in the past four games after straining his hamstring in the regular-season finale against Georgia Southern.

The Panthers are 9-0 this year in games in which Harrow hasn’t played or has been limited.

It was thought that Harrow would be able to return within a week after sustaining the injury on March 7. He tried to play in Georgia State’s next game in the semifinals of the Sun Belt tournament, but could barely move. He made another short appearance in the tournament finals. He didn’t dress for the victory over Baylor in the NCAA tournament’s second round and said on Friday that he wouldn’t play today.

However, he changed his mind and participated in the team’s shoot-around Saturday morning.

Harrow has an ability to carve up defenses with his skills as a dribbler, and is also the team’s most-accurate 3-point shooter this year.

Georgia State typically plays better defensively with Kevin Ware of Isaiah Dennis in the lineup in place of Harrow because of their length and athleticism.
