Gurley vs. Hill: Who's the SEC's best running back?

There are plenty of talented running backs in the SEC, including Alabama's T.J. Yeldon, Arkansas' tandem of Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams and former metro Atlanta HS star Mike Davis of South Carolina. But arguably two of the best - or even the top two - will be on display Saturday in Athens as Todd Gurley of Georgia ....

.... and Jeremy Hill of LSU.

Gurley ranks third in the conference in rushing yards with 377, but he's first in the SEC in yards per game at 125.7.

Hill ranks fourth in the conference with 351 rushing yards, but ranks second to Gurley in yards per game with 117. (The top two players in rushing yards - Alex Collins and Jonathan Williams of Arkansas - have played in four games, Gurley and Hill have played in three).

Gurley is tied for fourth in the SEC with four rushing touchdowns ....

.... while Hill leads the SEC with six rushing touchdowns.

Both players have stepped up during the big games. Gurley had a career-high 154 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener against then-No. 8 Clemson ....

.... and followed with 132 yards and a touchdown (and a receiving TD) in the win over then-No. 6 South Carolina.

After missing the season opener and receiving limited playing time in the second game, Hill rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns against Kent State ....

.... and pounded Auburn last week for 184 yards and three touchdowns.
