Two Georgia State players were selected in the Major League Baseball first-year player draft on Saturday.

First baseman Nic Wilson was chosen by Tampa in the 24th round and outfielder Chase Raffield was chosen by St. Louis in the 37th round.

Wilson, a native of Decatur, is fourth in Division I with 18 homers, including three in one game. He hit 20 doubles, 52 RBIs, scored 50 runs and had a .322 batting average. He was a second-team Louisville Slugger All-American.

Raffield hit .356 with 14 homers and 59 RBIs.
