Georgia Tech’s game against Louisville Saturday afternoon at McCamish Pavilion will be played as scheduled.

Louisville, which delayed its travel from Friday to Saturday, arrived in Atlanta Saturday morning. The game will start at 2 p.m. and be broadcast on the ACC Network (WATL-TV in the Atlanta market).

Tech officials had monitored the situation and planned all along to have the game played despite the winter storm warning that began Friday afternoon and was in effect until Saturday at 1 p.m. According to ACC policy for weather-related postponements or cancellations, the primary factor for not playing a game as scheduled is if the teams, game officials or game management staff face unsafe conditions in either getting to or leaving the game.

Unsafe road conditions did cause the cancellation of the Tech swimming team’s meet at Virginia Tech. The team did swim Friday against Virginia Tech and Kentucky, but an overnight snowfall led to the cancellation of the second day of swimming.
