On a rainy day in Charlottesville, Va., Georgia Tech lost 40-36 to Virginia on Saturday.

Leading 14-13 at halftime, Tech scored two touchdowns in the first 35 seconds of the first half to take a 28-13 lead, but the Yellow Jackets (4-4, 3-3 ACC) let that lead get away.

Virginia (6-3, 3-2) scored the winning points on a 27-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Kurt Benkert to Andre Levrone with 1:22 to play. On the extra-point attempt, the ball richoted off each upright, but was good.
