Things to know if you’re going to games at Bobby Dodd Stadium:

Tickets

Season tickets, group tickets and single-game tickets still are available. Tickets to all games can be found — at various prices — at ramblinwreck.com.

What’s new

Georgia Tech has instituted a new policy called the Gold Standard. Tech asks fans to go to ramblinwreck.com/goldstandard and sign an online pledge to try to ensure that visitors to any Tech sporting event have a “fun, positive” atmosphere.

Also, fans aren’t allowed to bring umbrellas or strollers to the stadium. Those items can’t be left at the stadium gates.

Tailgating

Tailgating is allowed in all lots but those in housing areas. Lots open at 7 a.m., and fans are welcome to stay after the game. Tech asks that fans pick up their trash. There should be numerous recycling and trash bins at every lot.

Parking

Parking permits are allocated by the athletic association using a points system. There is parking available at the East Lots, Central Campus Lots, Student Center and Klaus Deck. Peters, O’Keefe and Alexander Memorial Coliseum lots have sold out. If available, season passes and single-game parking passes are available for purchase through ramblinwreck.com.

Traffic

The surest way to avoid traffic is to take MARTA, getting off at the North Avenue station and walking three blocks west to the stadium.

To get to Bobby Dodd Stadium via the highway, the recommended routes are:

● I-85 North to the 10th Street exit or I-85 South to the 10th/14th Street exit and going to 10th Street to the Central Campus /North Side parking.

● From I-75, exit on Northside Drive to the south, eventually either making a left onto 10th Street or continuing on Northside Drive to Tech Parkway. In that case, make a left on Tech Parkway and drive to North Avenue for parking at the Student Center.

There are checkpoints at various places on campus to ensure that you are going to the proper parking lot.

Campus transit

Free golf cart service is available for the elderly and disabled at numerous points from Central Campus, East Lot and Student Center areas. There will be numerous signs directing people to the pickup and drop-off areas. There is no shuttle service this season.

Dining

In addition to the varieties of food served at the stadium, there are numerous restaurants within walking distance, including the Varsity on North Avenue, two blocks from the stadium.
