Breaking down the 2012 Georgia Tech football schedule.

The Jackets suffered a devastating loss to the Hokies, losing a 3-point lead in the final 44 seconds of regulation before falling in overtime.

The Jackets didn't have any problems with the Blue Hose in recording their first victory of the season.

The Jackets host coach Mike London and the Cavaliers Saturday at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Both teams are looking for their first ACC victory of the season.

Miami, Sept. 22 - The Hurricanes' banged-up defense was relentless and held the Jackets to their lowest offensive output in two years. The Jackets are winless against the 'Canes in their last three meetingsm losing by a combined score of 92-34.

Middle Tennessee, Sept. 29 - Georgia Tech spoiled the Blue Raiders' home opener last season with an offensive onslaught of 596 total yards, 382 rushing.

Clemson (22), Oct. 6 - Georgia Tech defense held Clemson to just 95 rushing last year, while piling on 383 yards on the ground.

Boston College, Oct. 20 - The last time the Eagles played at Bobby Dodd Stadium Matt Ryan was their quarterback and he threw for 435 yards. That was 2008 and this is now. The Jackets come off a bye week and must contend with Chase Rettig (7), who last season threw for 1,960 yards, completing 53 percent of his passes.

Brigham Young, Oct. 27 - The Cougars finished the season with an 8-1 run, culminating in a 24-21 Armed Forces Bowl win over Tulsa. One of college football's few independent teams, BYU's schedule includes Notre Dame, Boise State and Oregon State.

Maryland, Nov. 3 - The Terrapins last season allowed an average of 457.1 yards per game so it's no mystery how they finished with eight straight losses, the last seven by an average of almost 20 points per game. In last season's meeting, Tech quarterback Tevin Washington ran for 120 yards and two touchdowns alone.

North Carolina, Nov. 10 - The Tar Heels stayed with the Jackets in their conference openers last season, but it was the Jackets who emerged the victors thanks to an offensive charge of 312 yards on the ground and 496 yards in all.

Duke, Nov. 17 - The Jackets have won eighth straight in the series. Tthe Blue Devils came close last season, threatening with 90 minutes left on the clock, but the Jackets held on for a 38-31 win.

Georgia, Nov. 24 - The Jackets have won one of the last 11 meetings against the Bulldogs.
