Georgia State unveils proposed sports facilities

Georgia State unveiled its proposed new facilities for basketball, volleyball and football on the its Atlanta campus.

Georgia State unveiled its future Sports and Academic Performance Center, which will house the university's men’s and women’s basketball, and volleyball courts at the former Aquatics Center located directly east of the Sports Arena.

A $2.5 million strength and conditioning center for football, which will be located in the practice facility on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.

Among the amenity changes is a weight room for football.

The 31,000-square-foot arena will house a full volleyball court, along with three practice courts.

Georgia State's Sports Performance center will include full basketball practice court with eight baskets.

The $5.5 million Sports Performance Center will include a centralized academic support center dedicated for use by all 350-plus Georgia State student-athletes.
