Georgia State’s football team will host its spring game on April 16 in Panthersville at the soccer complex.

The game will start at 1 p.m. Tailgating will open at 8:30 a.m. Shuttles from University Commons will start at 9:30 a.m.

Georgia State’s coaches and players will host a Youth Football Day at 11:30 a.m. for children kindergarten through eighth grade that will occur before the spring game. Registration for that begins at 10:45 a.m.

The Panthers went 6-7 last season and appeared in their first bowl game. The team returns nine starters on defense and seven on offense.

The team will hold its first spring practice March 24. The schedule includes practices March 24-29, March 31-April 2, April 5-9, April 12 and April 14-15. The April 2 and April 9 practices will be scrimmages.

The practices and scrimmages are open to high school coaches, players and their families.
