Georgia State all-conference tight end Joel Ruiz said it’s his intention to play every game this season.

Ruiz sat out the spring practices after undergoing surgery on an injury to his knee suffered last season.

Ruiz caught 39 passes for 478 yards and three touchdowns last year as a junior.

Ruiz said he is able to jog on a treadmill in a pool and is starting to regain his range of motion.

“It’s a good process so far,” he said.

Linebacker Joseph Peterson said he is back to 100 percent after suffering a high ankle sprain at the end of the season. Sprains can be notoroiously difficult to overcome. Peterson led the team in tackles for the third consecutive year.
