D’Marcus Simonds committed to play basketball at Georgia State on Wednesday.
Simonds, a four-star recruit and a junior at Gainesville High, committed to Mississippi State before the coaching change there.
He posted his decision on Twitter (@TwoSpicee): “There’s no place like home! I will be continuing my basketball career and education at Georgia State University!”
Simonds is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who is believed to be the highest-rated prospect in the past 10 years to commit to play for Georgia State, which is coming off a third-round appearance in the NCAA tournament.
