Who: Georgia State (2-6, 1-3 Sun Belt) at Texas State (2-6, 1-3)

When: 4 p.m. Saturday.

Three things to know

1. Georgia State is coming off a 23-21 loss to Louisiana-Lafayette in which its special teams imploded with a punt blocked for a touchdown, two missed field goals and a failed fake punt that gave the Cajuns field position to kick the game-winning field goal. The Bobcats are coming off a 31-21 loss to New Mexico State.

2. Georgia State’s defense is coming off arguably the best game in school history in limiting the Cajuns to less than 320 yards. However, the group is dealing with injuries to its linebackers and secondary and could be missing several key starters.

3. Georgia State is averaging 25.5 points and 420.1 yards per game, while allowing 35.5 points and 459.4 yards. Texas State is averaging 30 points and 416.1 yards per game, while allowing 41.6 points and 549.4 yards.

Player to watch: Georgia State offense

QB Nick Arbuckle. He is averaging 333 passing yards per game and is facing a Texas State defense that is allowing 263.9 yards per game and has strangely yet to intercept a pass in 236 attempts.

Player to watch: Georgia State defense

LB Kaleb Ringer. He tied for the team lead with 10 tackles in last week's game and should be on the field for almost every play this week because of the depletion of the team's linebacker with the absence of Trey Payne and expected absences of Joseph Peterson and Ed Curney.

Player to watch: Texas State offense

QB Tyler Jones. The dual threat is averaging 204.1 passing yards per game and 58.4 rushing yards per game. He has thrown just six interceptions in 246 attempts and is skilled near the goal line with eight rushing touchdowns.

Player to watch: Texas State defense

S Damani Alexcee. The junior leads the team with 65 tackles and is tied for the team lead with two sacks.
