Tickets
Tickets will be available only for the lower bowl of the Georgia Dome, about 28,000 seats. Single-game tickets range from $15 to $45. Season tickets for the seven-game home schedule range from $72 to $400. There also is the $2,500 Huddle section. Students get in free with identification. Tickets are available at georgiastatesports.com and by calling 1-866-427-8283, at Ticketmaster and the Georgia Dome box office.
Tailgating
Four different lots have been specifically designated for tailgating. The orange lot is directly south of the Dome off Georgia Dome Drive. The brown lot is east of the orange lot across Mangum Street. The blue lot is north of the Dome up Northside Drive. The yellow lot is at the corner of Northside Drive and Ivan Allen Jr. Boulevard.
The orange lot is reserved for Panther Athletic Club members. The blue lot is for season-permit holders and single-game parking. The brown lot is single-game parking. The yellow lot is reserved for RV’s and single-game parking.
For Saturday games, the lots will open at 9 a.m., four hours before kickoff.
The Georgia State Alumni Association will host a tailgate in the orange lot. It is free for alumni association members and $10 for nonmembers. Admission covers food, beverages and giveaways.
Parking
Aside from the aforementioned lots, there are four other designated lots in and around the perimeter of the Georgia World Congress Center. The closest lots for single-game parking are the brown deck and the red deck off Centennial Olympic Park Drive.
Passes can be purchased before the season or on game day. Game-day prices should range between $10 and $20, based on proximity to the Dome.
Traffic
Given the limited attendance, the number of lots and the 1 p.m. kickoffs, traffic ought not be as great a consideration as it might for a Falcons home game. However, MARTA is an exceedingly convenient option. Fans can get off at either the Georgia Dome stop or the Vine City station on the east-west line.
Campus transit
Shuttles are available from campus to the Dome for students with a valid Panther Card. Shuttles will start at 10 a.m., and service ends one hour after the game. They’ll pick up at the corner of Collins and Decatur streets and also from the Panthers Den, providing two pickup/drop-off points.
Dining
The Dome is within walking distance of CNN Center, which offers establishments such as Dantanna’s and Taco Mac and several fast-food eateries in the huge food court. Fans are not allowed to bring coolers, food or beverage, or backpacks or large bags, for that matter, into the Dome. Concessions, including alcohol, will be available inside the stadium.
