Georgia State will begin its 10th season of football with a trip to Neyland Stadium.

The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2019 schedule for each of its teams Friday morning, and at the top of the list for Georgia State is an Aug. 31 date with Tennessee. The Panthers and the Volunteers have met once, a 51-13 Vols victory in 2012.

The Panthers’ home opener takes place the following Saturday when Furman comes to Georgia State Stadium on Sept. 7. The Paladins are an FCS team from the Southern Conference.

After that, the Panthers will take a trip to Western Michigan for a Sept. 14 game before opening Sun Belt play the following weekend.

GSU goes on the road for its first Sun Belt game, Sept. 21 at Texas State.

The Panthers’ fourth non-conference game comes Oct. 19 against Army at Georgia State Stadium.

Times and television information for each game will be released later.
