Georgia State’s three-game winning streak came to an end Thursday in a 70-62 Sun Belt Conference loss at UT-Arlington.

The Panthers (18-10, 11-6 Sun Belt) opened a 16-point lead in the first half, but the Mavericks chipped away at the deficit and eventually grabbed the lead with eight minutes remaining in the game. UT Arlington (13-15, 9-8 Sun Belt) scored the final seven points of the game and ultimately secured its first win in the last six games against Georgia State.

Kane Williams had 21 points and seven rebounds for the Panthers. Brian Griffin scored 13 points to lead four players in double figures for the Mavericks.
