Georgia State, held to one point for more than 10 minutes in the second half, was blown out by Drexel 68-46 on Wednesday night in Philadelphia.

The result was a season-low for points and points in a half (18) as the Panthers lost their fourth consecutive road game. Georgia State (14-7, 6-4 Colonial Athletic Association) will host Virginia Commonwealth on Saturday at the GSU Sports Arena. The Dragons (16-5, 8-2) won their eight consecutive game and 14th in 15 games. Their only loss during the stretch came at the Sports Arena.

Coach Ron Hunter tinkered with his lineup for the second time in three games to try to spark the offense. He re-inserted Josh Micheaux into the starting lineup after bringing him off the bench the previous two games. Hunter also moved Jihad Ali back to the sixth man role that he filled earlier this season. Ali led GSU with 17 points.

Micheaux helped the Panthers take a 14-8 lead, but then two issues that have hampered the Panthers in their previous three games returned: 3-point defense and making free throws.

After an 0-for-6 start, Drexel made four 3-pointers, while the Panthers missed seven of their 14 free throws in the half to fall behind 37-28.
