The Georgia Bulldogs have added a home game against UNC-Charlotte to their 2025 football schedule.

The game will be played on Nov. 22, 2025. That’s the Saturday before the Georgia Tech game. The 49ers made the announcement on the school’s website on Monday.

Terms of the agreement were not immediately available. Georgia typically pays around $1 million for home games against non-Power 5 opponents. UGA officials declined comment.

“The chance to play between the hedges will be truly special for our team and fans,” Mike Hill, Charlotte’s director of athletics, said in the school's release. “Georgia is one of the nation's elite programs, and this marks an incredible opportunity for our football program.”

The 49ers are under the direction of first-year coach Will Healy. UGA fans may remember Healy bringing Austin Peay to Sanford Stadium in 2018. Georgia won that game 45-0.

Healy succeeded Brad Lambert, a former Georgia defensive assistant (1996-2000). Lambert was dismissed last November by Charlotte after seven years as head coach. The 49ers also play North Carolina and East Carolina in 2025.

For the Bulldogs, it’s the third non-conference game set for 2025. They open that season at UCLA and end with Georgia Tech.
