Georgia freshman defensive end Bill Norton was arrested early Sunday morning on three alcohol-related misdemeanors, according to Clarke County Jail records.

Norton was arrested booked at 4:25 a.m. on charges of possessing any alcoholic beverage under 21 years of age, failure to maintain lane/improper driving on road and DUI-Alcohol under 21 years of age (concentration 0.02G). He was released at 5:44 a.m. after posting bonds totaling $3,000. He was arrested by the University of Georgia police.

Norton, from Memphis, has a listed birth year of 2000, according to jail records.

Norton was part of the 2020 recruiting class, committing as a junior out of Christian Brothers. The 6-foot-6, 285-pounder was a four-star prospect and ranked as the No. 11 strongside defensive end in the 2019 class and No. 128 overall player in the nation on the 247Sports national composite rankings.
