“The World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party” lives on, despite efforts to change its name and location.

This game marks the seventh time, and the second consecutive, that the Bulldogs and Gators have played each other with both teams ranked in the top 10. Each team has won three such games. Last year, Georgia was ranked seventh and Florida ninth, and the Bulldogs won 36-17. This year, Florida sits at No. 6 and Georgia at No. 8.

In a series that frequently carries important consequences, this game carries on that tradition. The winner Saturday takes a big lead in the race to win the SEC East and play in the conference championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Dec. 7. The loser likely relinquishes any hope of a spot in the College Football Playoff, even if rallies and win the SEC title.
