Injuries continue to pummel the Georgia basketball team.

J.J. Frazier, the Bulldogs’ starting point guard, will not play in Tuesday’s game against South Carolina due to several injuries he suffered in the past week. According to coach Mark Fox, who addressed the situation on his radio call-show Monday night, suffered an orbital fracture to his face and a concussion from a collision in this past Saturday’s game against Auburn. He also revealed that the 5-foot-10 sophomore from Glennville was already playing with a hairline fracture in his left (shooting) hand.

How long Frazier will be sidelined is uncertain. The Bulldogs are already playing without starting small forward Juwan Parker (Achilles) and his backup Kenny Paul Geno (broken wrist). Frazier is the third Georgia player to suffer a concussion this season. Marcus Thornton (two games) and Yante Maten (one) also sat out games with concussions. The Bulldogs have had players miss a total of 21 games due to injuries this season.

Frazier is Georgia’s fifth-leading scorer at 10.3 points per game. His 37-point effort against Mississippi State on Jan. 24 is the highest individual scoring output in the SEC this season.
