Four Georgia State players made the Sun Belt All-Conference football teams announced Monday.

Wide receiver Donovan Harden, tight end Joel Ruiz and linebacker Joseph Peterson were named to the first team. Place-kicker Wil Lutz made the second team.

Harden, a senior, led the Panthers last year with 60 receptions for 885 yards and seven touchdowns. He was third in the conference in catches and touchdowns and fifth in receiving yards.

Peterson, a senior, has led the team in tackles each of the last three years. He has 265 tackles in his career.

Ruiz, a senior, had 39 receptions for 478 yards and three touchdowns despite missing two games. He is on numerous pre-season all-conference and watch lists.

Lutz, a senior, is the school’s career leader in field goals (19) and extra points (78).

Georgia State, which went 1-11 last season, was picked to finish ninth by the league’s coaches in the preseason poll.

The team returns 19 starters and will open the season hosting Charlotte at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 4.
