Errin Joe, Freddie Burden held out of Georgia Tech practice

Oct 13, 2015

Two starters on the Georgia Tech offensive line, right tackle Errin Joe and center Freddie Burden, were held out of Monday’s practice, apparently due to injuries.

Both Joe and Burden were requested for post-practice interviews, but the requests were denied, as is the protocol for players who do no practice due to their injury status. While the offensive line has struggled this season, the two have been critical components of the offense dating back to last season.

Joe left Saturday’s game against Clemson with an injury and did not return. Burden finished the game, however. Joe’s backup at right tackle is Eason Fromayan. First-year freshman Will Bryan is another backup who could play at right tackle. The No. 2 center is Andrew Marshall.

Safety Demond Smith was another player who left the game with injury and did not return. Prior to the practice, coach Paul Johnson did not have any updates regarding injuries.
