Emory fell one victory short in the Division III baseball tournament. The Eagles lost 7-0 to Wisconsin-Whitewater on Tuesday in the championship game in Appleton, Wis.

Philip Maldari had three of Emory’s seven hits, including a pair of doubles. He was named to the All-Tournament team after finishing the six games batting 11-for-24 with four doubles and a tournament-best 11 RBIs.

Emory finished the season with a 38-13 record, the third-most victories in program history. The second-place finish matches the best finish, previously recorded in 2007.
