SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) — College of Charleston guard Andrew Goudelock and coach Bobby Cremins have swept the Southern Conference postseason awards.

Goudelock was named the league's player of the year, and Cremins was selected coach of the year in media voting announced on Thursday. Both had taken similar honors in voting by Southern Conference coaches this week.

Western Carolina guard Trey Sumler was named the freshman of the year by media and coaches.

Goudelock led the Southern Conference with 23 points a game and helped the Cougars (22-9) to a share of the league's South Division title.

Cremins won SoCon coach of the year honors four times while coaching at Appalachian State.

The Southern Conference tournament starts Friday at McKenzie Arena in Chattanooga, Tenn. The championship game is Monday night.
