College football programs with most 100-win coaches

Georgia Tech is among the six FBS college football programs to have three or more coaches with 100 or more wins.

Bobby Dodd coached at Georgia Tech from 1945-66, leading the Yellow Jackets to 165 wins. The third football coach at Tech, Dodd followed a winning tradition that included William Alexander (134) and John Heisman (104).

Oklahoma is the only program in major college football to produce four head coaches with at least 100 wins each. Current coach Bob Stoops (149) is the among the active coaches on this list. Other 100-plus winners are Barry Switzer (157 wins), Bud Wilkinson (145) and Bennie Owen (122).

Head coach Wally Butts (second from left) was the first to win more than 100 games with the Bulldogs at 140 wins. He was followed by Vince Dooley (201) and current head coach Mark Richt (118).

Lloyd Carr was the last Michigan Wolverines coach to surpass the 100-win mark. Fielding Yost won 165 in two tenures at Ann Arbor. Michigan's winningest coach is Bo Schembechler with 194 career wins.

Ohio State football coach Woody Hayes collected 205 wins for the Buckeyes. John Cooper won 111 games from 1988–2000, followed by Jim Tressel with 106 from 2001–2010.

John Robinson won 104 games in two tenures at Southern Cal (1976–1982, 1993–1997). John McKay is the Trojans' most successful coach with 127 games , followed by Howard Jones with 121 wins.

Phillip Fulmer won 147 games with the Volunteers from 1992–2008. Gen. Robert Neyland holds the record for most wins in Tennessee history with 173 wins in 216 games (which included undefeated streaks of 33, 28, 23, 19, and 14 games.) From 1977–1992 Johnny Majors won 116 at Tennessee.
