Mackendy Cheridor could return to Georgia State’s lineup in two weeks after doctors discovered he suffered no damage to his meniscus in the loss to Washington two weeks ago.

Cheridor, a sophomore and starting outside linebacker, has 13 tackles and a sack this season.

Running back Kyler Neal won’t play this season after suffering a torn MCL. Coach Trent Miles said last week that he thought Neal may be able to return in a few weeks, but said on Monday that isn’t the case. They are going to apply for a redshirt for Neal, a sophomore who has rushed for 209 yards and a touchdown this season.

Offensive lineman Taylor Evans returned to practice on Monday after sitting out since suffering an elbow injury the week before the season-opening win over Abilene Christian.
