CHARLESTON SOUTHERN AT GEORGIA
When: noon Saturday
TV: SEC Network
Line: None
WHAT TO EXPECT
Georgia on offense: The Bulldogs have lost three tailbacks to suspension and/or injury this season and have failed to have their receiving corps fully intact. Yet at 42.1 points per game, Georgia sits ahead of every SEC team and nearly five points a game better than Mississippi State, the No. 2 scoring team. The key has been the play of the offensive line. Led by senior center David Andrews — who will start his 38th consecutive game Saturday — the Bulldogs have allowed only 13 sacks and have had a running back rush for at least 131 yards in every game.
Charleston Southern on offense: The Buccaneers are a run-oriented, spread-option team led by running back Christian Reyes. The senior enters Saturday's game with 871 yards rushing and is the school's career rushing leader with 2,125 yards and 16 touchdowns. The Bucs led set a school record with 576 yards in a win over Liberty last week.
Georgia on defense: The Bulldogs put together one of their better defensive outings of the season against Auburn on Saturday. Georgia held the SEC's leading rushing team to 135 yards and recorded three more takeaways on an interception and two fumble recoveries. The Bulldogs held the Tigers to their lowest scoring output (7) in the Gus Malzahn era. Senior linebacker Amarlo Herrera leads Georgia with an average of eight tackles per game.
Charleston Southern on defense: The Buccaneers are holding opponents to 19 points per game and limited Vanderbilt to two touchdowns and two field goals on Oct. 11, when the Commodores held on for a 21-20 win. The defense is by Aaron Brown, a 6-foot, 220-pound linebacker from LaGrange, who has a team-best 75 tackles, with 8 tackles for loss. The Bucs have picked off 14 passes, including four by cornerback Troy McGowens.
