Since 4-star running back and linebacker Bruce Jordan-Swilling’s commitment to Georgia Tech in August, his level commitment to the Yellow Jackets has been questioned.
Jordan-Swilling went on several unofficial visits to colleges other than Tech after he announced his commitment in August, prompting concern that Tech’s highest ranked commit might change his mind.
Jordan-Swilling shut down all rumors on Thursday.
“I was always 100 percent committed to Tech,” Jordan-Swilling. “I was just going out because I earned the right to go out there for all those unofficials so why not take them?”
Jordan-Swilling is ranked No. 14 on 247 Sports’ list of the top 2017 outside linebackers and No. 9 on 247 Sports’ list of top 2017 recruits in Louisiana.
Along with brother Tre Swilling, cornerback Dameon Williams, running back Jerry Howard and dual-threat quarterback Tobias Oliver, Jordan-Swilling went on his official visit to Georgia Tech during the weekend of Jan. 14.
Returning to Tech answered all questions for Jordan-Swilling.
“When I went up to Tech, I was like, ‘I’ve seen everything and I know everything, so why waste time and have coaches second-guessing me and thinking I’m going somewhere else when I could just shut everything down right now?” Jordan-Swilling said. “So that’s what I did.”
Jordan-Swilling said he unofficially visited Southern California, LSU, Alabama, Georgia and Vanderbilt.
Jordan-Swilling was expected to go on an official visit to Southern California on Saturday, but on Thursday, the 6-foot, 215 pound senior from Brother Martin High School in New Orleans, La. wrote in a post on Twitter that he is finished with visits to other colleges.
