Kennesaw State coach Brian Bohannon and five of his players landed spots on the Big South Conference All-Decade team.

The team, announced Monday afternoon, was selected primarily from a vote of conference administrators, with 20 percent of the votes cast by fans.

Quarterback Chandler Burks (2015-18), linebackers Bryson Armstrong (2017-present) and Anthony Gore (2015-18), defensive lineman Desmond Johnson (2016-19) and placekicker Justin Thompson (2015-18) joined Bohannon among the players and coaches.

Noteworthy is that Kennesaw State’s program existed for only five of the 10 seasons in the decade. The Owls won 48 games, two Big South championships and five playoff games (in three playoff appearances).

Burks was one of 15 players on offense chosen. Armstrong, Gore and Johnson were among 14 players on defense, and Thompson was one of six special-teams players.

Bohannon was one of two coaches honored.

The Owls compiled a 48-15 record from 2015-19.
