Whenever there is a coaching change, attrition is to be expected. And that’s already taking place at Georgia, where the transition is under way from head coach Mark Richt to Kirby Smart.

The latest departure is wide receiver Shaquery Wilson of Coral Gables, Fla. He tweeted Wednesday that he “can’t wait to go home.”

Wilson is a 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete who was recruited to play either receiver or defensive back. He started out on offense for the Bulldogs but played in only two games and did not record a catch.

He told UGASports.com that he wants to be closer to his infant child.

Junior quarterback Faton Bauta announced his plans to leave the program last week. Indications are at least one other player either already has left or will.
