The College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta is displaying a uniform of Vanderbilt’s Sarah Fuller, who became the first female to play and score in a Power 5 college football game last week.

In a post on social media, the Hall of Fame tweeted: “Congrats Sarah and thank you for entrusting us with the safe keeping of this rich piece of history!”

Fuller, the goalkeeper for Vanderbilt’s SEC women’s soccer champion, kicked a pair of extra points for Vanderbilt in a 42-17 loss to Tennessee Saturday. The uniform on display is not the one Fuller wore during the game against Tennessee. Vanderbilt wore black jerseys in that game. The jersey on display is white. Vanderbilt wore white jersey’s when she made history as the first female to play in a Power 5 game on Nov. 28 with a squib kickoff to open the second half at Missouri. She was called into action when Vanderbilt was hit by COVID-19. She remained on the roster even as other kickers came out of quarantine and rejoined the team.

Vanderbilt was to play at Georgia on Saturday, but the game was cancelled after Vanderbilt did not have enough players due to COVID-19.
