Rose Bowl 2018: Best tailgates and watch parties in Atlanta and Pasadena

Georgia arrived Tuesday in California for the Rose Bowl. The team got an escort from California Highway Patrol emblazoned with Georgia 'G's.

The much-anticipated 104th Rose Bowl game between the No.3 Georgia Bulldogs and No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners — a College Football Playoff Semifinal — is slated for New Year's Day in Pasadena, California.

Crazed college football fans all over the country are expected to tune in at 5 p.m., and we’ve rounded up the top spots in Pasadena or in Atlanta to tailgate or catch the game that day with fellow fanatics.

If you're headed to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena:

Rose Bowl FanFest hosted by the Rose Bowl

The FanFest event, also located at Brookside Golf Club, is free to attend and includes interactive games, music, TVs. Food and drinks will be available to purchase.

Rose Bowl Tailgate Bash hosted by DAWG DAYS

9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Chandler School, 1005 Armada Dr., Pasadena.

This 21-and-up tailgate is a convenient, short walk from the southeast corner of the stadium. Tickets are $45 and include access to the lot, drinks, gameday meal, music and other goodies. Purchase your tickets at

The UGA Alumni Association’s Atlanta chapter is hosting a watch party at this restaurant located in the Battery. Aside from the 30-foot-television screen, the event will include games with chances to win $1,000 or tickets to the National Championship. Tables are first come, first serve.

2017 Rose Bowl Indoor Tailgate Watch Party hosted by Lenox Avenue Band
