Kennesaw State saw its winning streak come to an end at its Homecoming Game on Saturday against Liberty.
The Owls (4-2, 0-1 Big South) were unable to capitalize on some crucial drives and the fell to the Flames (3-3, 1-0) 36-21. KSU outgained Liberty by 58 yards, but thanks to a missed field goal and two turnovers on downs at the goal line, the Owls failed to take full advantage of their offensive performance.
Quarterback Chandler Burks and running backs Chaston Bennett and Darnell Holland all rushed for more than 50 yards, with Burks leading the pack with 98 yards on 28 carries.
Liberty quarterback Stephen Calvert put on a solid performance managing the Flames’ balanced attack, going 22-of-30 for 211 yards and a touchdown.
