For the fourth consecutive year, Georgia State had the highest graduation success rate among schools in the Sun Belt conference for all sports, the NCAA announced Tuesday.
For the football program however, GSU had the lowest GSR of Sun Belt schools. The GSR formula calculates the graduation rate of freshmen classes at schools while also accounting for students who transferred to a school and students who transferred away from the school, but still would have been eligible to compete had they stayed.
The Panthers 50 percent mark was just three points off the second worst football program in the conference, Idaho, and 33 points away from the Sun Belt’s top football team, Appalachian State.
